Our next London event will take place Wed 25th July at Huckletree in Shoreditch.
Prior to that, Ambre has spent 8 years in Equity Capital Markets. She will present her journey from banking to running a tech startup, talk about investing in crypto, and answer all your questions about blockchain!
Since reading in Forbes a few months ago that only 5% to 7% of all cryptocurrency users were women and that investors in Bitcoin saw a wealth creation of $85 billion – of which [only] $5 billion or 5.88% was obtained by women – I decided to extend our reach with Vestpod and start talking more about crypto.
This is the first event of our new cryptocurrencies series. We’ll deep dive in this new world with entrepreneurs, investors and influencers. Come hear their stories, understand what the risks of investing in these types of assets are and when you decide to invest how you can actually do it (only invest what you can afford to lose).
For our first session, we invite Ambre Soubiran, CEO of Kaiko. She is one of the most influential women in blockchain.
When? Wednesday 25th July at 6:30pm
Where? Huckletree Shoreditch
We will talk about:
- Our personal stories with crypto;
- The gender imbalance in crypto and how to make it more inclusive;
- Things you should know before investing in crypto;
- What is blockchain?
- Understand the different cryptocurrencies;
- Practical tips on how to get started.
Our mission at Vestpod is to empower you financially. We’ve all see bitcoin all over the news, with all the attendant praise and criticism of any new financial phenom. We’ve seen it rising and falling but not crashing [yet] and we’ve heard about people making a lot and losing a lot. But have we taken the time to properly explore this new crypto world?
Ambre spent the past 8 years in capital markets and equity derivatives in London, and recently left banking to run Kaiko, a company providing financial data in the digital currency space. Kaiko collects and stores digital currency information in highly organized files that can be purchased by other companies to help them gain a better understanding of the market.https://www.kaiko.com/
