The Age of Singularity: Work and Retail/Consumption after the Mass Economy

28th of June – 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM
Private Room at l’Escargot, Soho, London.

We are delighted to invite you to our next event about the Age of Singularity with an amazing guest speaker, Laetitia Vitaud, speaker, writer and researcher, specialised in the future of work, organisations and consumption.

Futurologists are fascinated by “singularity”, that hypothetical moment in the future when an artificial superintelligence will abruptly trigger runaway technological growth and change human civilisation.

But that’s not the “singularity” that Laetitia believe will change our civilisation the most! She advocates in a more human “singularity” whereby human workers will no longer be a replaceable commodity and the goods and services we consume will be singular (unique) and special.

Laetitia Vitaudis a graduate from HEC Business School and holds a teaching degree in English from La Sorbonne. After a career in higher education, focusing on American and British civilisations, she joined the digital economy, initially as a talent scout for a major US software firm.

Today, Laetitia is a lecturer at Sciences-Po Paris and Université Paris Dauphine, and co-author of a book titled “Faut-il avoir peur du numérique?” (“Should you be afraid of digital?“) (Armand Colin, 2016).
