Sarah Potts currently holds the role of VP Innovation Excellence in Shell’s Projects and Technology organization based in Amsterdam. In this role, she leads a global team responsible for driving innovation, new ways of working and commercial thinking. She joined Shell in September 2016, as Manager Technology Portfolio, following the BG-Shell merger. Over her 15+ year career with BG Group, Sarah held a variety of international positions in the Upstream Exploration and Production sector with assignments to Argentina, Tunisia, Egypt and the UK, her home country. In 2012 she moved to Brazil to help establish BG Group’s Research and Development organization as Partnerships Manager, setting up the model for external technology collaborations, and then working as Portfolio and Governance Manager.
Sarah holds a BA in Earth Science from Oxford University. She is married to a Graphic Designer and has a 5 year old son. When she gets any spare time she enjoys yoga, keeping fit, cooking, and travelling.
