Our community has offered amazing lots for our online and in person auction – raising funds for Shuhada. Women in Afghanistan have been badly harmed and have seen their hopes of education and a brighter future almost crushed after 20 years of progress.
Dr Sima Samar, human rights advocate and activist, and chairperson of the Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC), is a long term supporter of Feminin Pluriel, and joined FP Global as a guest in May, showing us how hard the life of young Afghan women is. Her organization, Shuhada, has established Gawharshad University in 2010 and has supported thousands of girls and boys to attain their Bachelors since then.
