We are very honored to welcome our exceptional guest Mrs Setsuko Klossowska de Rola to open the fall season which will be on 17 September 2019 for lunch at the Richemond.

About Setsuko : Setsuko Klossowska de Rola is a painter, ceramist and Japanese writer living in Switzerland in Rossinière as well as in Paris. She was born in 1942 in Tokyo and married Balthus, while he was at the time the director of French Academy in Rome at Villa Medicis. In 1977, the family moved to Grand Chalet in Switzerland. Since 2002, Setsuko has served as the honorary President of the Balthus Foundation, and in 2005, she was designated as UNESCO Artist for Peace. She has exhibited in Tokyo, Paris, London, Rom, Geneva and New-York and her work is part of institutional collections such as that of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. In 2004, Setsuko began her ceramic work with Astier de Villat in Paris and in 2019, her work was exhibited at the Galerie Gagosian in Paris.

If you were at the Congress, you had the opportunity to taste the wonderful Japanese tea offered by our friend, Emiko Okamoto, Japanese Tea Advisor. We are very pleased to have her working with Chef Bourrel ann Quazzola to harmonize our meal with her famous Japanese green tea. Emiko also recently opened a tea room in the new space dedicated to the Japanese art of living at Brachard where you can continue your journey…
